A great way to experience Svalbard’s fascinating nature is to travel by dog team. With the dogs, we will show you our favourite places and you will get the chance to explore nature without disturbance from an engine. We try – as far as possible – to only travel in areas restricted to non-motorized travellers to give you an uninterrupted nature experience.
Explore the gorgeous tundra landscape in Adventdalen from a special-made wagon pulled by a husky team! We will pick you up in Longyearbyen and drive to our husky farm in Bolterdalen, 10 km outside Longyearbyen. Here, you will get warm clothes and boots for the trip, we say hello to our friendly dogs and harness them up for the trip
Visit our idyllic cabin in untouched, silent Tverrdalen on a 3 day hiking trip. The only way to get there in the summer is by foot. This trip provides a very special opportunity to experience the Svalbard wilderness in all its splendor joined by our furry four-legged friends.
In our kennel, we have 45 great sled dogs that we travel with in both summer and winter. We have been criss-crossing the northern hemisphere for more than 2 decades, and our huskies have completed both the world’s longest sled dog race Iditarod in Alaska, and Europe’s longest sled dog race Finnmarksløpet in Norway, and even traveled to the North Pole.
We offer both expeditions to Reinheim, our wilderness lodge in Tverrdalen and longer expeditions to the East Coast sleeping in tents. We also offer customised trips. Send us an e-mail if you don’t find the trip that fits your plans or scheduled dates. We offer up to 15% discount for groups of 6 pax – contact us via email for price offers.
Our idyllic cabin in Tverrdalen is where we like to spend most of our free time. It is majestically situated at the foot of glaciers, overlooking a valley surrounded by mountains and often dotted by reindeer. We invite you to share our favourite place on earth with us!
